Kings Of Leon Will Rescue The Music Industry, Yall!!

I am a HUGE Kings of Leon stan, so you folks can only imagine how elated I am to announce this exciting news! Kings Of Leon has resumed touring after a year hiatus! Last night on facebook, a status update was posted along with the above flyer confirming european tours for next year! This must mean that the group has worked out whatever drama they had going on behind the scenes and are ready to get back to touring and slaying these lame ass so called "musicians" of today.

For those of you who are slow and have a bad memory, Kings Of Leon cancelled their tour last year after the lead singer Caleb Followill had a "Mariah on TRL" moment onstage amidst performing. On July 29, 2011 while playing in Dallas Texas, Caleb was acting wasted as hell and started rambling about all kinds of irrelevant and crazy shit onstage. It went a little something like this: "Im married to the prettiest girl in the whole fucking world. You guys are the best fucking crowd that I have ever played for...These baldheaded motherfuckers cant keep quiet for shit...Im sorry ya'll but my voice is not working tonight... Im gonna go backstage and vomit, drink a beer and then Im gonna come back out here and try to sing". He then stormed off the stage and never came back, thus causing the band to end the show abruptly and apoligize to the crowd for Caleb's crazy ass rants. Immediately after the flop of a show, Jared Followill, brother of the lead singer and bassist of the band tweeted this:

"I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sicknessess and problems that have needed to be addressed. No words. I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren't stupid. I cant lie. There are problems. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."

Here's a video that caught Caleb's meltdown:

Days after that incident, the band confirmed through their website that the remainder of their U.S. tour would be canceled. Appearantly, Caleb needed to be in rehab indefintely until he stopped being a jick. Ever since that incident which was a year ago, the band had dropped out of the public eye and never made a peep until now. Everything seems fine now, provided that they have decided to tour again. You know, Im all for Caleb's crazy ass rants because at the end of the day, we're all human and shit happens. He's undoubtedly one of the most talented and soulful white singers in a long time, so Im sure that the pressure of the band's massive success just came too quickly for him to handle. Im just glad that all is well with him now. When you hear songs like "On Call", "Revelry", and "The End" there is an extremely heartfelt soulful wail that emerges from Caleb's mouth, instanteously captivating you. Its no question of whether or not he can sing because the answer is evident. He can belt, go into falsetto flawlessly and much much more. Needless to say that I will purchase whatever he puts out.

In other awesomely awesome news, the band also confirmed that they are working on a new album that should be out early next year. According to Jared, Caleb has been "writing alot lately, things are coming along pretty quickly" and that we'll get a new album "sooner than later." I cant tell you guys how excited I am to hear this!! Caleb never fails to "take us to church" with his vocals and Im sure that this new album will be twice as soulful provided that he was going through some things in his life. Im all on board for a new album and tour, as long as he doesnt waste my money!
